Kellie's Rustic Fall Bridal Shower!

Here are pics from my big sister's Bridal Shower - what a beautiful day it was!

Now before you see all these, I need to be perfectly clear.  This was all my Mom's vision - I just helped execute the details.  = )  She is amazing!

Loved how the burlap, birch vases, baby's breath, glass bottles, and pumpkins looked together!

Burlap was hung from the patio outside

The beautiful Bride-to-be!

{Hand-Painted} Uganda-Inspired Cross

My good friend Sally has a true servant heart.  She and her husband Tim have gone on many mission trips ~ but I think it's safe to say that Africa holds a special place in their hearts.

Sally and Tim recently bought a house in our neighborhood {exciting!}.  I thought for her birthday I would paint her a cross inspired by Ugandan fabrics and images to hang in their new HOME.

The inspiration...

The finished product...

I totally forgot to take good pictures with my Canon {so sad}.  These were the best I could do with my phone.  {And yes, these pictures were taken on a student's desk in my classroom - hence the lovely faux wood background}

Can't wait for our new neighbors to move in!

Olive's Hand-Painted Cross

My friend Emma asked me to paint a cross for her new baby cousin's baptism.  Emma sure does have a ton of adorable little ones in her family - remember Zoey's pink cross?

She sent me some great inspiration photos of Olive's colorful, whimsical room.

And here's the final product...

I love the playfullness of the cross, and I think it will look amazing in little Olive's room.

P.S. How cute is that name?!

{Hand-Painted} Africa-Inspired Birthday Gift

Our cousin, Bethany Joy, just celebrated her birthday.  She has an adventurous spirit and a heart for service.  Last summer she spent two months in Africa, and she loved it!  I rolled with the African theme and made her the hanging block above.  I think it will look very cute in her college dorm room!

African prints and patterns were my inspration...
My original intent was to paint a "B" for "Bethany" on her block, but when I was finished painting all of the patterns, I loved the way it looked as is.

I gave her a handmade African necklaces {similar to the one below} to tie the whole gift together.  The necklace wasn't handmade by me, but by an African child.
{Necklace Photo Credits}

Happy Birthday, Bethany Joy!

{Hand-Painted} Hanging Fall Sign

It is officially Fall today in our my home!  Most of my Fall decorations are out, including this new hand-painted Fall sign which I painted last week.  It was my original intent to hang it on our front door, but I love the way it looks on our key rack.

Happy Fall to All!

Zoey's Hand-painted Baptism Cross

My good friend, Emma, sent me lots of great inspiration for her niece's Baptism cross.  Because her name is Zoey, meaning life in Greek, she wanted the butterfly {a symbol of new life} to be incorporated somehow.  Such a great idea!

I think the butterfly was such a nice touch ~ especially on a precious baby's baptism where new life in Christ is being celebrated!

Can't wait to see pictures of the cross hanging in sweet Zoey's room!
